Beginning Drawing for ages
7-15 -
In this four week class, Laura O’Brien will teach basic
drawing techniques to the students at their own pace. Each one-hour
class will focus on a different subject matter & technique including
portraiture, architecture, & shading. All supplies are included in the
class fee.
Beginning Painting for ages
7-15
In this four week class, Laura O’Brien will teach the
students basic painting techniques at their own pace. Each one-hour
class will focus on a different subject matter and type of paint
including watercolor, acrylic, & oils. All supplies are included in the
class fee.
Beginning Painting for Adults
Expand your creativity further in this four week painting
class. Laura O'Brien will teach you the basic painting techniques at
your own pace. Each one-hour class will focus on a a different subject
matter and type of paint including watercolor, acrylic, and oils. Four
consecutive weeks. All supplies included in the class fee.
Watercolor with Bernie ages 16
and up -
Join local watercolor artist Bernie D’Ettorre in this
introductory class as she shows you the beautiful art of watercolor.
The class is built to grow with each student, so you can move at your
own pace. Bernie will show you several techniques as she guides you
through this six week class. You will receive a list of supplies
to purchase before the first class. Class will continue to meet weekly
for a small fee.
Painting with Feeling
-
Local painter & teacher, Laura O’Brien, will lead you
through this afternoon of painting for all ages. Laura leads a
lively discussion about how emotion & feelings are expressed in
paintings. You will learn how some of the Masters used color & line
to create emotion in their works. You will also have a chance to
create your own works. All supplies are included in the class fee.
Charming"
Bracelet Class -
Nadine McFadden, creator of
Buttons
and Beads Jewelry, will show you how to create a unique and
personal bracelet. You will learn some basic wiring and beading
skills, as well as how to incorporate personal charms, vintage
and/or family buttons into your design. Additionally, you'll be
able to use beads from your previous projects or old jewelry.
Whatever you "bring to the table" is what makes this project
exclusively yours. Additional supplies available from the
instructor. Maximum of 6 per class.
Beginning PMC - Precious
Metal Clay is an exciting new medium that is easy to use and very
adaptable. You can mold, stamp and shape your creation into
limitless possibilities. The piece is then fired in a low temp
kiln and what emerges is 99.9% pure silver. Certified PMC
instructor, Cheryl Bonner, will provide all the tools required to
complete your piece . Materials such as bails, beads, jump rings,
chain, etc, are additional.
Introduction to Precious Metal Clay (PMC)
- Jennifer Cabic, creator of the Silver Peanut jewelry
line, will teach basic techniques for making fine silver jewelry
with Precious Metal Clay (PMC). PMC
is a material made from particles of fine silver, binder and water.
When fired, it results in .999 fine silver. In class you will
complete a pendant and 2 pairs of earrings. No experience
necessary. Materials and tools provided.
Precious Metal Clay Ring Class -
Learn basic techniques for making fine silver rings made
entirely of PMC. In class you will complete 2 rings. No
experience necessary. Materials and tools provided. Please
specify two ring sizes you would like to make when registering so
proper materials can be provided.
Advanced Precious Metal Clay
- Jen Cabic will show you how to make hollow forms and set stones in PMC3. In class you will complete 2 hollow beads and a pair
of post earrings. Basic PMC experience is helpful but not
necessary. Fee includes one (1) 25g. pack of PMC3, CZ stones
and SS earring posts - Tools provided.
Precious Metal Clay Resin class -
Jen Cabic will teach you to create one of a kind, personalized
pendant and earrings. In class you will make a pendant and a pair
of earrings creating bezels out of PMC3. You will then fill with
resin to set photographs or other personal objects. Please be sure
to bring in several photos/objects to fit apprx. 1" X 1" pendant &
earrings. Prior PMC experience is helpful, but not necessary.
Tools provided for use.
PMC Fingerprint Charms - Jen
Cabic will teach you how to create a one-of-a-kind keepsake from a
loved one's fingerprints. The finished charm will be created with
Precious Metal Clay. You will receive instructions when you
register on how to capture the fingerprints to bring with you.
PMC Studio Days for $95
- Jen will provide a pack of PMC and all of her tools so you
can come in to work and fire your pieces. This is not an
instructional day, just a day to play on your own. Gives you plenty
of time to make those holiday gifts. Plan to come for the whole day
so you can have time to finish all your pieces.

rest of us bead addicts for some therapy and creative
brainstorming. Bring your favorite drinks, snacks, beads and we'll
kick start your next best project!!
Beach Glass with Class
- Instructor Eva Sherman, owner of
Grand River Beads
will teach you how to create one of a kind custom jewelry pieces
using your own beach glass or ours. All wire and beach glass are
included.
Rosette Chainmaille Bracelet -
Instructor Mary Tanner will teach you to turn a pile of copper
jump rings and a few beads into a work of art using just 2 pairs of
pliers.
Freeform Wire Work -
Instructor Rose Baker will help you create one of a kind custom
jewelry pieces by adding freeform wire work to a focal bead and a
few accent beads.
Basic Soldering -
This class
is a prerequisite for any other metalsmithing courses. You will
learn to make secure connections with rings, pins and various
findings. During the class you will finish at least one bracelet
including a clasp.
Elements in Metal-Smithing 1: Brooch -
This workshop explores traditional
metalsmithing techniques including
sawing, pierce work, drilling and
filing. This workshop is a
pre-requisite for all the other Elements
classes and students will learn the
pivotal metal working processes
necessary for future Elements classes.
Students will complete an original piece
of artwork of their own design in this
three hour class. You must have
completed the Basic Soldering
workshop prior to this class. All
materials are included in the class

- Bring a

Beginning Seed Bead Bracelet
- Make an easy and elegant bracelet
using seed beads, Czech glass and a
crystal button. All materials are
included in the class fee. Instructor:

Bezel Setting - This
workshop will instruct students on the
process of manufacturing and setting a
small cabochon in a pendant. Students
will learn to size and make a bezel, as
well as clean, polish and set a
cabochon. You may bring your own stone
or glass cabochon or one will be
provided as part of the materials fee.
You will finish at least one or two
pendants in class. Prerequisite:
Basic Soldering within the past 18
months or soldering skills up to date.
All materials are included in the class

Dichro Pendants

Stamped Polyclay Focal Beads - Students will learn the basics of polymer clay as well as experiment with stamping, mica powders, and finishing techniques. This is a 2-hour introductory class that runs for
6 consecutive weeks and is guaranteed to get your hands muddy
and put a smile on your face! These sessions are small (2 to 3
participants) & are dedicated to personalized instruction. A
variety of ceramic tools are provided in the studio. Classes
will meet for 2 hours once a week (6 consecutive weeks)
Adult Classes: Monday or Friday mornings
10a-12n, or Tuesday evenings 7-9pm, or Saturday mornings 10a-12n
Fee: $200.00 + $2.50 per pound of clay,
which includes the cost of 2 firings and glazing

Pottery Wheel Workshop

Similar to the
adult class, this 2-hour introductory class is guaranteed to get
your child’s hands muddy and put a smile on their face! These

provided in the studio. Classes will meet for 2 hours once a
week (3 consecutive weeks)
Creating
with Clay for Little Hands
(ages 3-12)
Laura O’Brien
and Brie Derbin will teach the students to create simple
projects made from earthenware clay. Students will learn
basic hand-building techniques to create figurines and
vessels. A different project will be created in each
class.

Paint Your Own Pottery
Open Studio is always open during regular business hours.
Select a piece of bisque pottery and get creative! You pay for the
price of the bisque plus a $6 studio fee. The studio fee covers
all glazes, kiln firing, and guidance from our creative staff. Ask
about reserving space for birthday parties, bridal showers, girls’ night
out and more! Call us for your next event!

Paint Your Own Pottery Party
- Looking for a good time? Bring your best friends, drinks, snacks,
and paint a piece or two of bisqueware.
Painting parties are scheduled by appointment. Fees are $10
per person plus price of the individual piece of bisque. The
firing fee of 10 fee
will be waived for the hostess of groups of 6 or more.
Pottery
wheel studio available for hourly rental.
You must complete a half hour "Classroom
Courtesy Seminar" before you first use the studio. Please call to
reserve a time. Fee: $10/hour; clay $2.50/lb. (which includes
two firings and use of our glazes).

limited. Payment is required at registration. PLEASE NOTE: Our
instructors prepare for class and purchase supplies based on the number
of persons registered. Our refund policy is as follows: Refunds will be
given only if requested at least 72 hours (3 days) prior to the
scheduled class time or if a class is cancelled due to low enrollment.
Late cancellations will only be refunded if we are able to fill your
